Yeah your download could be 20mb, but the upload is what makes it more responsive.

They kept ignoring calls in regard to getting it, so my dad sent a complaint to Comreg (dunno what good that did but)

Hey I know it's an old thread but here in the UK I've been using NTL but now that I've moved house I have to get another provider because NTL don't service my location.

The NTL cable internet worked fine and we got a free upgrade from 1.5 to 3MB This suited our purposes fine. We've signed up for TalkTalk recently so we will be getting our phone calls for £21 a month (including free calls to 28 countries) and free broadband Can't wait!

Hi Faith,

Go here and you will see the Talk Talk plan 3 with free broadband option.

What you would want is Talk Talk 3 International (to call home free ). Free broadband is offered with the International plan but because of advertising restrictions they can't openly advertise it.

You need to have a BT line and TalkTalk must also service your geographic location. They have an online postcode checker.

The offer is huge so there are some delays on phone and broadband set up. I ordered yesterday and won't get the phone switched from BT until late Jan and will get the Broadband by 7th Feb.

PM me if you need more info. I can dig out some email and phone numbers as they don't appear on the website.

Odd alright but I'm glad it did We've had TalkTalk for over a year now and I'm extremely happy with the service Our phone and broadband bill comes to less than 30 pounds a month and would be cheaper if we didn't call Irish mobiles a few times during the month.

We're with Digiweb Metro and we've just gone from having a 3MB line to a 6MB line for the same price, which is nice. We're also thinking about taking them up on their phone offer, so that we actually have a landline in the house.
