Using a PC with a TV and bluetooth controls.

Has anyone ever hooked up a PC with a tv ,in a living room preferably with a bluetooth (wireless) keyboard and a trackball (mouse)

I was going to do this several times ,but was put off by the hassle.
I was thinking of connecting the video out on the pc to a wireless transmitter so I could put the pc wherever I wanted .

Anyone ever try it?

I've hooked up my PC alright to my LCD to view HD material. My keyboard and mouse is wireless so that was handy. I has never been made a proper feature, but my PC can get BBC HD and decode it fairly well, but I can't find my DVI-VGA adaptor

I'm hoping I can use a wireless rca transmitter ,you know the pair you get so you can watch tv in any room?
Hook that up to a graphics card with a rca video out.

It would be nice to view photos and stuff while lounging with family.

Thanks.

Sparky, I am shocked at you recommending showcenter, after all I told you about Xbox and Xbox Media Center!!!

Yoshy, for under €100 you could buy a 2nd hand xbox with DVD remote control, softmod it and use it as a media center. The results are outstanding!

Instead of putting a hardware modchip into your xbox to allow it to run non official software, the xbox can be softmodded.

Take a read of this:
How to Softmod with SID 4.0! Tells how to get on XBL too!

It will tell you how it is done.

This link will tell you all about Xbox Media Center.
XBMC - Xbox Media Center

It really does turn the xbox into an amazing media center.

If you decide to go down that route, let me know and I will try to help where I can.

I've no memory cards ,would taking the hard drive out of the xbox and dumping the stuff on it do?
I have firewire cases I use to get stuff onto hard drives.

I've never had the xbox live ,Im thinking I need that at least to get things going .

I have the james bond game ok.

Cheers.
