Yep, you got it in one...here's the history of r3nu4l (try to keep awake!)

Years ago I was a member of hackthissite.org (HTS) and went under a different handle on that site...

HTS is a site with a large number of hacking challenges ranging in difficulty but there are also a lot of egos and in-fighting within the group and its users.

So periodically a disgruntled, banned user would hack the HTS server and do some damage, on several occassions the entire database was deleted and the site so badly disrupted that all users had to re-register accounts.

So on my third re-register we were asked to 'renew' our accounts and I registered with a new handle r3nu4l, a leetspeak varient of 'renewal'...renual...r3nu4l. I'm not into leetspeak at all, the user name was meant as a parody of many HTS site users who considered themselves '1337 ub3r-h4x0rs'

These days HTS is all about activism and fighting the power etc. and I've no interest in those type of politics so I left the site about three years ago and I've checked back once or twice but never re-registered.

So that's it...hey, it's gone awfully quiet in here, where is everybody? Hello? Hello? Echo? echo? echo?
