Attic conversion underway.

Im not joking, it has been 2 years of ongoing work to convert the attic. Mostly due to it being a DIY job and trying at weekends to get stuff done, as we all work during the week.

So we got the first room (which will be a bedroom) plastered.
So Ill let the pics explain the rest.
We are at stage 2 at the moment.

Yeah the outside room (unplastered one) is going to be a home cinema/ pull out office type of area.
Im planning on hanging the TV on the wall.

All should be hopefully finished in 3-4 weeks.
Carpet is arriving in 2 weeks and we are doing the skirting and doors tomorrow.

I hope to polybond and paint the walls and varnish the ceiling and doors next week.

Back online today.

Yeah, all plastering is done now, all skirting boards are done and doors etc are done.
At the moment I'm varnishing the ceiling. It's a clear varnish, so its quite hard to work with as you can hardly see where your working with it.

Next up will be the paint. We have decided on a 'Sun Haze' colour as it has a summer feel, but in the winter has a warm feel.

Carpet is due in the next week.

Yeah I finished the electrics today. The spotlights are working and the new sockets are on.
Alls to do tech wise is to route 2 speaker feeds to the rear wall (after carpet gets installed, as I want to tuck them in underneath it)
Run up 3 sat co-ax wires, 2 for the sky plus, 1 for the FTA.
Run up the digiweb co-ax from the CPE.
Run up a telephone line.
Wire up for when NTL come to do the house for NTL digital for the other rooms.
(The hub will be in the attic)

Insulate the eves behind the walls.

Finish varnishing all wood and polybond and paint walls.

I better take a few pics tomorrow if I get the chance, as I'll be out nearly all day.

Right. Time has not been set aside for this in a while as we were very busy with other things.

Paintings done and the ceiling has been all varnished.

Carpet installed.

There is just the TV cables to be done behind the walls next monday. The sheets are down for this as it can get messy and the carpet is brand new

There is little bits and pieces to be done.

Wow, the really warm colours, combined with the lighting is beautiful. You'd never leave it.
