e-mail notifications

My Gmail e-mail notification is one long block of text with no line breaks. Is it meant to look like this?

Looks quite ugly without the line breaks in there. Any way to tidy it up. I didn't think it was like this before...or maybe I just nnever noticed it

Yeah, I'll have a look at it and see what I can do.

Hey, it won't put me off visiting, just letting you know it is an issue for me in GMail but for newer users it may be be a bit off-putting.

I've had a brief look. It seems the that the text was copied wrong as was altogether in one sentence.

It should be ok now!

If not, I will look into it in more depth, just to have it right!

Cheers.

Hey, looks groovy now Thanks Sparky_s

I notice there is no text from the replied post given in the notification. Is that to encourage users to return to the forum? If so, then it's a great idea! If not, then I would suggest leaving it the way it is now. Should work a treat

Yup. It's to try and keep them guessing as it's a fact that over 45% of people won't return to a forum if they know what the reply is.

The new system also had PM content in the emails too, but I have also removed this as it could be a security risk. Maybe someone wont know your account info here, but they could always read out the email with the PM body.

We have also added in a new feature today called vBSEO.

You may notice a few changes like pingbacks and refbacks. It's so we know who is linking to the site and who we are linking to aswell.

One new feature too is if you enter a domain name like boards.ie - Now Ye're Talkin', notice how it gathers the site headers too
