Ahh Cloverfield. I really had no idea what this was about other than "it's a big monster in New York movie". Uh-huh.. brilliant. Just want I'm into. So anyway being the good girlfriend I am along I went.
So the film started out slow. It's rather annoyingly filmed in bumpy, jumpy, wrong way facing hand held video recorder mode. And it doesn't get much quicker. Apparently parts of it were tense. I must have missed those bits. I was thirsty. Oh and then the film ends. In one of those stupid "But why didn't they just do X?" kind of ways.
So yeah, it could have been way worse but it could have been way better.
