Am I the only one alive who didn't know that this film was a musical? I mean I know that Hairspray is a musical it's just that the first film (with Rikki Lake) wasn't a musical and well, I think someone neglected to send me the memo.

Anyway I went to see this on Sunday afternoon and it was a great Sunday afternoon movie. It's fun and it's not really a thinkative* movie although it did try to teach some morals which I found annoying.

But the movie is good. See it, whether at the movies or on tv.

final thought: I liked the first film more.

*Yes I know it's not a real word.
