Good article.

But can they explain why the tv in the backroom is a few seconds ahead of the one in the front room? Huh?!

I can!

It's simply to do with the delay in the transmission time it takes to send a signal 20,000 miles into space, to come back down again to your dish and to be processed by your digibox.

It averages about 3 seconds.

One tip: Don't let your partner/family etc watch football on say RTE or BBC on the aerial and yourself on satellite.
The roar of a goal score spoils the supprise whan you get it 3 seconds later.
